Liam Shanahan - Director Liam graduated from RMIT University in 2005 with a Bachelor of Engineering (Mechanical, 1st Class Honours) and Bachelor of Applied Science (Computer Science). He spent 3 years as a project engineer for General Motors Holden before joing APL in 2009 to help improve the laboratory's capacity. He has completed Pressure Measurement, Uncertainty and Electrical Measurement courses with the National Measurement Institute. Liam is a NATA Technical Assessor for pressure and is a member / website administrator for the Metrology Society of Australasia. In 2019, Liam purchased APL and took on ownership from Randall. Recently Liam has been developing expertise in electrical calibration to add to APLs strong capability in pressure. |
Jordy Anderson - Calibration Engineer Jordy has worked casually at APL since 2012, during which time he completed his Victorian Certificate of Education (2014) and Associate Degree in Engineering (2018). He is currently carrying out additional study to complete a Bachelor of Engineering (Mechanical) at Swinburne University. Despite being the youngest member of the team, he already has a wealth of experience in all aspects of pressure calibration, and is developing a deep technical knowledge through additional study in Engineering. Jordy has completed the Pressure Measurement course at the National Measurement Institute. |
Jordan Hough-Anderson - Laboratory Technician Jordan completed a Bachelor of Science at LaTrobe University 2015 and joined the team at APL in early 2017. Jordan is an integral member helping to increase the laboratory's capacity. Jordan completed the Pressure Measurement course at the National Measurement Institute in 2018. Jordan has developed extensive knowledge and experience in calibrating all types of pressure equipment, with a particular focus on air data and pitot static test sets. |
Nick Mason - Quality Manager Nick graduated from RMIT University with a Bachelor of Engineering (Manufacturing and Engineering Management) and Bachelor of Applied Science (Computer Science) in 2004 and then went on to work for Toyota Motor Company in quality focused roles in Melbourne and Belgium. Nick returned to Australia in 2019 and joined the team at APL. Having worked for many years at Toyota, one of the most quality renowned companies in the world, Nick joins APL to add further testing capacity and also to improve our systems, ensuring we are offering our customers the highest quality possible. Nick completed the Pressure Measurement course at the National Measurement Institute in 2019. |
