UPDATE AUGUST 2020 - STAGE 4 RESTRICTIONS: We have confirmed with the Dept of Health and Human Services (VIC) that we can remain open during stage 4 restrictions, as we are providing critical testing services for several industries that have been identified as essential (such as medical, pharmaceutical, defence, gas/water/sewerage).  We will update our website if there are any changes.

We are following Victorian Government guidelines for a COVID-Safe workplace, including:

  • reduced on-site staff to a maximum of three at a time
  • all staff at APL wearing face masks at all times
  • multiple sanitising stations throughout the lab, and at break and bathroom areas
  • regular cleaning of frequent contact surfaces
  • strict stay-at-home and get-tested policy for any staff member feeling unwell

Due to reduced on-site staff numbers, we have a reduced capacity and may have turnaround times beyond our typical <1 week.  We are working over a 7-day roster to help to maintain our service, but we appreciate your understanding if we are unable to complete your instruments in our normal timeframe.   If you require instrument calibration for a medical or supporting function, please let us know and we will prioritise your instruments to ensure they are returned to service urgently.

We ask that you This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. during this time, as it is harder for us to manage telephone communication with masks and fewer staff.  Thank you for your support to ensure the safety of our staff and the wider community.

During this time we would ask that all non-essential visits to our facility be avoided or delayed.  If you need to attend our facility, please contact us prior, and let us know if you:
- have had a recent respiratory illness or are unwell in any way
- have arrived from any international destination within the past 14 days
- have been in direct contact with anyone known to have COVID-19 disease or that has arrived from an international destination within the past 14 days

We will continue to accept instrument deliveries via courier during normal business hours, but our staff have been instructed not to physically sign for receipt of parcels from couriers until further notice - instead they will provide their name to the courier only.  Our drop box is also available for customers to deliver parcels without entering our facility - let us know if you would like to access the drop-box.
All of these measures will reduce our capacity until the threat from the virus has subsided, and we greatly appreciate your understanding during this challenging time.

In the meantime, stay safe, don't forgot to be vigilant with hand washing.
